March 17 ... 150th anniversary celebration national unity of Italy

After some confusion and disagreement on the part of parties and industry associations, there appears to be a public holiday in most. We say that this year is a bean, if you scroll the calendar you will see that opportunities are really little bridges. Not that anyone thinks to work, but alas the August holidays are still far and 25 April and Easter this year, "worth" a party alone.
But I wonder: are from the past 150 years and we decided to celebrate now that they tell us in all ways that Italy is falling apart? However
a curiosity to me is: how would be if Italy was not united?!
